Job Description

  1. We are seeking creative, hands-on product design interns to work closely with engineers, magicians, and educators to design the appearance, interaction flow, and user experience of the next generation of our Magic Robot.
  2. Internship Responsibilities. As a Product Design Intern, you will:
  3. Collaborate on the look & feel of the Magic Robot, including form factor, UI/UX elements, and interaction design
  4. Create concept sketches, 3D mockups, storyboards, and interactive design flows
  5. Assist in designing educational interfaces that combine play, learning, and magic
  6. Conduct user research and usability testing with target groups (children, special needs users, educators)
  7. Help define design language, colors, touchpoints, and emotion-driven design cues
  8. Work alongside software/robotics engineers to integrate your design into a working prototype
  9. Participate in weekly design sprints, ideation sessions, and user feedback reviews

Requirements

  1. Must-Have Skills & Experience:
  2. Currently studying or recently graduated in Product Design, Interaction Design, Industrial Design, or a related field
  3. Proficient in tools such as Figma, Adobe CC, Rhino, Fusion360, or Blender
  4. Strong sketching, prototyping, and storyboarding skills
  5. Passion for human-centered design, playful interaction, and storytelling
  6. Good communication skills in English or Chinese
  7. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  8. Curious, proactive, and a love for working on novel, experimental projects
  9. Bonus if you have:
  10. Experience in toys, robotics, or edtech design
  11. Understanding of magic, performing arts, or learning sciences
  12. Familiarity with 3D printing is a plus
